The village has been hit rather hard in the last six months with the loss & closure of Mother Hubbard's and G&D Sinclairs the butcher. Its going to be a real loss to the community, as well as for the representation of small independent village businesses helping keep Torphins alive. It has motivated David and I to give local businesses and village community groups an opportunity to connect with the villagers.If anyone has a chance to lend a little bit of time please take a moment to post a message of support with Aberdeenshire Council by the 24th of March 2011.
